Created by Kim Bass, Gary Gilbert, and Fred Shafferman, the show stars real-life identical twins Tia and Tamera Mowry as sisters Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell. It premiered on April 1, 1994 and concluded on May 23, 1999 after six seasons.

In January 2018, a revival of Sister, Sister was confirmed, though it is currently unknown when or if the revival will happen.

About the show[]

After their chance encounter, Ray Campbell, Tamera's adoptive father, reluctantly allows Tia and her adoptive mother Lisa Landry to move in with them so the girls had the opportunity to reconnect. Although the twins are identical in appearance their personalities are polar opposites, with Tia being the intelligent one from inner city Detroit while Tamera is the boy-crazy twin from the suburbs. The series follows the sisters as they go through high school and reconnect as sisters.
