Model Tia is the seventeenth episode of the fourth season.
Plot[]
Tia and Tamera learn a hard lesson that people online are not always who they claim to be.
Summary[]
Tia is chatting with some guy called Varique Dalton online, who happens to be a famous fashion photographer. Tamera then sends Tia's picture to him and he replies saying he likes it. Tamera is totally excited; she thinks that if Tia makes it big, then she can too, and they both ask their parents who are on their way to a 70s party, if they can to go to Varique's place for a photo session, but are forbidden to do so.
Tia cancels the session, but Tamera, determined to not to lose her only so-called opportunity, pretends to be Tia and goes anyway, resulting in her sister going to bring her back.
Varique takes pictures of Tamera and all seems to go well until he asks her to change into a skimpy bikini for more camera shots. Tia suddenly arrives and Varique is excited that he has the twins all to himself.
Ray and Lisa arrive home early after getting into trouble with a policeman and having to take the bus home. Thanks to Roger, they find out that the twins are in trouble and luckily Varique's address is left on their computer.
Varique reveals himself to the twins as a fraud, using many aliases to others online. He is also a pervert as tries to force them to be intimate with him. However Lisa and Ray arrive just in time and Ray knocks him out. The fraud is then arrested afterwards.
Back home, Ray berates Tamera for disobeying him and putting herself and Tia in danger, telling her it was a stupid thing to do and the answer no means no. Tamera admits her mistake, but Tia takes the blame too as she was the one who had been talking to the Varique imposter online in the first place. Their computer is taken away as a punishment and the twins promise that they'll be more careful in future, especially Tamera who vows never to fall for an online scam again.
Suddenly a man saying he's singer Montell Jordan comes knocking on the door asking for help. The twins think he's another con-artist and tell him to go away before they call the police, and Tamera smugly says afterwards "How stupid do people think we really are?" However he is revealed to be the real Montell Jordan, who walks away confused.
