If your baby says no, then just kick her out the door
And if she still says no, then go ahead and just slap that, yo
No need to please her, and never hesitate to dump the skeezer, rah!

— The lyrics to one of Cold Dog's songs

Cold Dog is a rapper and the former artist of Tia and Tamera.

Cold Dog was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. His birth name was either Calvin Herbert or Herbert Calvin, but in 1993, his name was legally changed to Cold Dog. At the age of 14, he began dancing with Bad M.C. on his first world tour, and subsequently became famous as a rapper. As of 1994, he had released one album which went double platinum and a number of songs, including "Unleash Me" and "Twin Boo-Tay". His song lyrics are known for being especially degrading and insulting to women, which reflects in his behavior towards them in real life.

Tia and Tamera, who are self-proclaimed fanatics of Cold Dog, end up winning a radio contest to get tickets and backstage passes to one of his concerts after correctly guessing his legal name.

After his concert, he goes backstage and into the bathroom with his groupies, presumably to have sex with them. He then fires his assistant, who also happens to be his father, for forgetting to remove raisins from the trail mix that he laid out. He is introduced to Tia and Tamera and, upon discovering that the two are 14 years old, asks them if they want to hang out with him, suggesting that he'll write a song about them if they "play their cards right". They decline, and when he continues to try and persuade them, they tell him he's not a very nice person and leave, agreeing to never listen to his music again.

Following their encounter, Cold Dog released the song "Twin Boo-Tay" as a tribute to them.

Relationships[]

  • Cold Dog's father: Cold Dog's father was his assistant. Their relationship was strained, and Cold Dog fires him after he forgets to remove the raisins from the trail mix that he laid out, despite his contractual obligations to do so.
  • Cold Dog's mother: Little is known about Cold Dog's mother other than that, according to Cold Dog, she's "hanging by a thread".
  • Groupies: Cold Dog has many unnamed female groupies who accompany him backstage. He treats them with little respect, demanding them to do favors for him such as picking the raisins out of his trail mix and writing down his lyric ideas. It is also implied that they have sex with him.

Trivia[]

  • It is possible that Cold Dog is a reference to American rapper Snoop Dogg, based on the similarity of their rap names (Dog and Dogg), their real names (Calvin Broadus and Calvin Herbert), and their sexually charged lyrics.
